Coronation Street star Sally Carman-Duttine has been flooded with messages of love and support by her friends and followers as she marked a personal milestone with her co-star husband.

The actress is best known for playing Abi Webster in the ITV soap, having joined back in 2017, a year after on-screen son Seb Franklin, played by Harry Visinoni, made his first appearance.

Away from Weatherfield, Sally often keeps her private life just that but does sometimes shares updates on life with fellow soap star Joe Duttine.

They then tied the knot in July 2022 with the pair saying ‘I Do’ two years after getting engaged. Sally confirmed the happy news with an image posted to her Instagram account which she captioned: “We did.”

The snap showed the newlyweds sharing a kiss, both with a glass of fizz in hand, standing under a stunning balloon arch.

Now, Sally has shared that they have marked their third wedding anniversary, and revealed the sweet gift she recieved to mark the occasion by her hubby.

Sharing pictures on Instagram, the soap star explained: “My lovely husband @johnny_duttine_ bought me a beautifully carved butterfly handcrafted by the artist / woodcarver @nickwoodcarver to mark our third Anniversary. We love his work and just wanted to give you guys the opportunity to love him too! #handcrafted #smallbusiness #specialgift #notanad.”

And the anniversary wishes came flooding in. Corrie co-star and real-life bestie Vicky Myers, who plays DS Lisa Swain, said: “Beautiful [love heart eyes emoji]. Happy Anniversary to you both!” while Toyah Battersby star Georgia Taylor gushed: “Adorable!!!! [love heart eyes emoji].”

Sue Devaney, who plays Corrie’s Debbie Webster, also replied: “Tweet two you two! Happy anniversary. Love me and JimBob,” as Ronnie Bailey star Vinta Morgan commented: “What a GENT.” Emmerdale’s Vanessa Woodfield actress Michelle Hardwick also shared: “Beautiful! Happy anniversary.”

Sally previously told TV star Kate Thornton on her podcast White Wine Question Time about Joe’s proposal. She said: “It was while we were in lockdown and we were staying in the Dales with his sister, who has a lot of space, with, his kids. And he had just read a Benjamin Meyers book called The Gallows Pole, which Shane Meadows is making into a film right now.

“It’s all about these coin forgers and he was banging on about this bloody book for weeks and weeks and weeks and I’m like: ‘I’m glad you’re enjoying that book, I won’t need to read it because you’ve literally told me everything that happens in it!’

“And we were walking around this big field on this walk and he went: ‘Kids, have a look in between the dry stone walling because you know, they used to put coins and precious things to hide them in the walls.

“‘You look at that bit Jeanie, and Joseph you look at that thing, Sal why don’t you get involved?’ I’d had a few beers because you know, that’s what we did in lockdown. So I’m having a look and there’s this box. And I opened it. I’m like: ‘No way’. And then there was another box inside. And I turned around and he was on one knee.”
