SHOCKING TWIST!!! EastEnders confirms change for Suki and Eve with worrying twist in iPlayer release

EastEnders has confirmed a big change for Suki and Eve Panesar-Unwin, as events take a worrying turn in their feud with Nicola Mitchell. Amid the pair’s adoption hopes, scenes last night saw the two go before a panel in their hopes of taking in a child.

However, Suki – who was already wound up before the meeting – walked out when they brought up late son Jagvir, possibly ending their hopes of adoption. Eve later bumped into Nicola Mitchell while drowning her sorrows at Harry’s Barn, as Nicola’s continued taunts made Eve see red.

After hitting her, Nicola told her that CCTV recorded the incident, with the prospect of Eve spending time behind bars given her previous criminal record. However, Suki later revealed that they had been approved to be adoptive parents.

Scenes in tonight’s episode, which is available now on BBC iPlayer, begin with Eve hiding her incident with Nicola from her wife, as Suki notices a bruise on her hand that Eve lies about, claiming it was from helping someone with their cases on the tube.

Suki is then alarmed to get a call from the adoption officer, who says they need to see them urgently, though they are delighted when he confirms their approval has been ratified. The speeding up of the process comes as the child they wanted, Ria, needs urgent primary care.

Amid their happiness, Suki senses Eve is on edge, as her wife comes clean about the Nicola incident. However, while Eve reckons that their adoption hopes could be up in flames, Suki defiantly says: “Nicola does not get to take this away from us.”

EastEnders' Suki and Eve finally reconnect in emotional scenes - here's why

Suki later speaks to Nicola, suggesting a deal to pay her to delete the footage. As such, Nicola proposes £50,000, giving her one week to find the money. After informing Eve, they get a notification that they can meet Ria that afternoon.

As such, they are introduced to the child, though after an awkward start that their officer assures them is normal, Eve starts to bond with Ria as she speaks to her about a teapot she has brought along, and the couple appear to start to get through to her later on at home.

Suki and Eve are delighted when they later learn that they have been approved for Ria and she could move in on Monday. Yet their celebrations are cut short when Nicola turns up, revealing that she has decided to call off the deal after speaking to Harry.
