SHOCKING NEWS!!! EastEnders reveals secret Strictly connection as guest star opens up on role
An EastEnders guest star has just revealed the soap’s Strictly Come Dancing connection after appearing in a recent episode seeing Linda Carter setting up a salsa night at the community centre.
Earlier this month, Linda organised a salsa night open to all Walford residents, with a guest stint from Jenny Thomas, who played the centre’s salsa teacher. After the episode aired, Thomas took to Instagram to reveal EastEnders‘ link to Strictly.
Not only is Thomas the choreographer behind Strictly‘s Charleston and salsa routines, but she also reminded soap fans the BBC series holds another connection to the dancing competition.
“Yes I was actually on Eastenders this week!” Thomas captioned a ‘doof doof’ spoof montage of her scenes in the episode.
“Had an absolute blast playing Fabia the salsa instructor. (No lines, but ‘on screen specialist’),” she added.

She then reminded fans that both Kellie Bright and Jake Wood, who play Linda and Max Branning on EastEnders, took part in Strictly, on season 13 and 12 respectively.
“Thank you to @bbceastenders for the opportunity. Loved every minute. Thanks to @mrjakewood @kelliebrightofficial for making me feel so welcome and reminiscing Strictly days!” Thomas wrote.
The salsa night quickly turned into an occasion for former lovers Max and Linda to bury the hatchet and attempt to build a friendly relationship. Meanwhile, Max’s current partner, Cindy Beale, was less than impressed with her boyfriend trying to make amends with Linda and quickly whisked him away to the Vic.
As Linda and Max got closer — before Cindy jumped in, that is — fans have been starting to connect the dots ahead of the big flashforward episode on New Year’s Day 2027, which will see Max waking next to a mystery woman on his wedding day.
At present, it isn’t clear who Max will be marrying after his impromptu proposal to Cindy went awry and he ended up sleeping with Priya Nandra-Hart the night of Vicki and Ross Marshall’s wedding.
