The arrival of Janine, Megan’s mum, stuns the Driscolls, but despite her protestations that she’s sicked by her daughters actions, Ben is in no mood to listen and orders her out. Janine returns to Megan, clearly having plotted the interaction and is broken as Megan collapses into tears, retelling her mum how Will took advantage of her vulnerability and now she faces prison. Nick and Toyah are elated to learn that Sam should be well enough to be discharged at the end of the week, but are concerned when he reveals that he’d like to attend Megan’s trial to find some closure in the situation.
Elsewhere, Asha, Nina and Amy are suspicious to find a tipsy Summer hanging out with a group of random lads and Sarah collars Jodie and grills her about the night of her attack, before Lisa approaches with her own questions.
Tuesday, June 30 – hour long episode

Will’s pre-recorded statement plays as Megan’s trial begins, but he’s then faced with an aggressive barrister and Megan’s vicious stare. When Ben takes to the stand, he finds himself brutally cross examined by Adam, and he’s later wounded when Megan paints him to be a terrible father. After an explosive trial, Will turns to Tim for support.
Jodie expertly manipulates Sarah, and she’s saved from further pressing when David reveals they’ve left the gate open and the dog is missing. After another uncomfortable run-in between them, David questions the tension between Sarah and Jodie.
Meanwhile, determined to keep Sam in a good mental space, Nick lies that everything went perfectly at Megan’s trial, while a later visit from Hope sees him learn the truth, Idris spoils Leanne, and Amy, Nina and Summer push Asha to make a move on Sienna.
Wednesday, July 1

Deciding to extend their stay at the Chariot Square, Leanne and Idris enjoy breakfast in bed, while Sam tells Toyah that Leanne missed her visit with him. As Toyah tries to reach Leanne, Idris sets her phone to silent, leading her to seek her out at the hotel.
Will tells his family that, if given the chance, he’ll tell the full truth about Megan on the stand, and after the judge agrees, he takes to the witness box, prepared to bare his soul.
Also, David is deeply concerned about Sarah and turns to Kit, who promises to keep an eye on her.
