not the end First look as EastEnders’ most sadistic serial killer returns 4 years after reign of terror & it’s bad news for Chelsea

A SADISTIC serial killer has returned to EastEnders four years after his reign of terror.

The first of today’s double episode – which is available now on BBC iPlayer – opened with Gray Atkins sitting in his prison cell.

Sadistic killer Gray Atkins returned to EastEnders tonight after four years

A woman collapsed over an open dishwasher with knives visible.

Gray’s first victim was his wife Chantelle after months of domestic abuse

Gray was sent down for the murders of Walford’s beloved residents, Chantelle Atkins, Kush Kazemi and Tina Carter four years ago.

While serving a life sentence, he receives an unexpected visit from his grandmother Sheila (Sheila Ruskins).

Sheila turned up in Albert Square after hearing about great-grandson Jordan’s recent accident, which has left him in a wheelchair.

She told Gray: “[Chelsea] doesn’t want him to know who I am and she won’t tell the family about me.

Gray learned about son Jordan’s recent accident from his grandmother Sheila during a surprise visit to see him in prison

“I pushed to spend time with him, put her under pressure and now she may not let me see him again. She’s his mother – you’re in here, and she can do what she likes.”

Sheila then gave Gray an up to date photo of his son and said: “He really is special. The thought of not seeing him again… I tried getting through to Chelsea, she wouldn’t listen.

“You and she had a life together. If anyone knows how to get through to her, it’s you. If I’m going to see Jordan again, I need your help.”

The prospect of Gray getting involved in Sheila’s plans can only spell trouble for Jordan’s mum, Chelsea.

Gray’s first victim was wife Chantelle (Jessica Plummer), who he murdered in September 2020 after subjecting her to years of domestic abuse. Three months later, he killed Tina Carter (Luisa Bradshaw-White) when she discovered what had happened to Chantelle.

Next it was Kush Kazemi, played by Davood Ghadami, who Gray pushed in front of a London Underground train in April 2021.
