Jodie finally caught out in Coronation Street as she gets comeuppance – but a twist follows

Coronation Street’s Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) has finally worked out who is really behind the account targeting him with online hate posts, and it’s all over for Jodie Ramsey (Olivia Frances-Brown) – right?

It would appear not. Jodie has more lives than a cat, and when one scheme fails, she has another ready at the drop of a hat to worm her way out of trouble.

So, when she let too much slip in tonight’s episode, leading Daniel to work out that she was his online troll, Jodie reached back into her bag of tricks and zeroed in on another target.

Having been thrown out by Daniel, she headed over to the Platts’ house to work her magic on David Platt (Jack P Shepherd), once again bringing up their encounter on the night of the Connor-Swain wedding.

Viewers will recall that Jodie tucked herself into David’s bed, pretending to be his wife, Shona Platt (Julia Goulding), and later made out that David had come onto her.

Tonight, she continued that story, and managed to gaslight David into believing that he knew it was her, telling him that he’d said her name.

When Shona later invited Jodie to stay with them, David was clearly less than pleased, but he kept his mouth shut about the whole situation.

While Jodie has once again landed on her feet, the same can’t be said for Daniel.

Hurt by her betrayal and kicking himself for not realising sooner, Daniel headed to the Rovers to drown his sorrows, and when Jodie arrived, it all kicked off.

As Daniel exposed her actions to the punters, Jodie feigned innocence, before running out in tears.

By the time Daniel got home, he was clearly worse for wear, and promptly collapsed on the sofa, leaving son Bertie unattended.

Hungry, Bertie attempted to make his own dinner, but ended up putting a metal tray in the microwave, causing the apartment to fill with smoke.

Thankfully, he got help from Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson), who arrived in the flat before anything could go seriously wrong.

With Daniel still unconscious on the sofa and the danger eliminated, an exasperated Adam left him alone, clearly unimpressed with how things had unfolded.

The fallout from Jodie Ramsey’s latest deception is only just beginning, and if anyone thought her exposure would finally bring an end to the chaos she has caused on Coronation Street, they may want to think again.

While Daniel Osbourne remains consumed by guilt over what nearly happened to Bertie, Jodie is already several steps ahead, quietly laying the groundwork for her next manipulation.

The morning after the terrifying microwave incident, Daniel wakes with a pounding headache and very little memory of the previous evening. The sight of Adam Barlow standing over him is enough to trigger flashbacks of the smoke-filled flat and Bertie’s frightened face.

Adam wastes no time giving Daniel a brutal reality check. He points out that if he had arrived only a few minutes later, the consequences could have been devastating. For Daniel, the realization is almost unbearable. The knowledge that his son was put in danger because he chose to drown his sorrows leaves him feeling ashamed and completely broken.

As word begins to spread around Weatherfield, sympathy for Daniel is mixed with criticism. Some residents understand that he was emotionally devastated after discovering Jodie’s betrayal, while others argue that there is no excuse for neglecting a child.

Meanwhile, Jodie is playing an entirely different game.

Rather than lying low after being exposed, she carefully positions herself as the victim. She tells anyone willing to listen that Daniel has unfairly turned the street against her and insists that she never intended to hurt anyone.

Her tears seem convincing enough to sway a few people, particularly those who only know one side of the story.

At the Platt household, tensions continue to rise.

Shona feels sorry for Jodie and remains convinced that the young woman is simply misunderstood. David, however, grows increasingly uncomfortable every time Jodie enters the room.

The memory of what happened after the Connor-Swain wedding refuses to leave him alone.

Jodie notices his discomfort immediately.

In fact, she appears to enjoy it.

Whenever Shona is absent, Jodie makes subtle remarks that leave David visibly rattled. She reminds him of conversations he barely remembers and repeatedly suggests that there is more to that night than he is willing to admit.

David begins questioning his own recollection of events.

Was he really as innocent as he believes?

Or has Jodie managed to plant enough seeds of doubt to make him distrust himself?

The emotional pressure starts taking its toll.

When David finally attempts to confide in Shona, he struggles to find the right words. He knows how absurd the situation sounds. Every time he tries to explain his concerns, Jodie somehow appears vulnerable and harmless.

As a result, Shona accuses David of being paranoid.

The accusation stings more than David expects.

Elsewhere, Daniel is trying desperately to repair the damage caused by his mistakes.

He throws himself into being a better father and promises Bertie that nothing like the previous night will ever happen again.

However, the emotional scars run deep.

Bertie may be young, but he clearly remembers feeling frightened and alone.

Daniel’s guilt only intensifies when Bertie innocently asks whether Jodie is coming back.

The question serves as a painful reminder of how much influence she managed to gain over their lives.

What Daniel does not realize is that Jodie has absolutely no intention of letting him move on.

In a shocking twist, she secretly creates another anonymous account online.

This time, however, she is much smarter.

Rather than directly targeting Daniel, she begins posting cryptic messages about several residents of Weatherfield.

The vague accusations spark confusion and suspicion throughout the community.

Neighbors begin turning on one another.

Friendships become strained.

Arguments erupt over misunderstandings.

And all the while, Jodie watches from the sidelines, enjoying every second of the chaos.

Her ultimate goal soon becomes clear.

If enough people start questioning each other, nobody will focus on her.

The plan appears to be working until one resident starts connecting the dots.

Adam Barlow.

Already suspicious after witnessing Daniel’s collapse, Adam begins investigating the online activity himself. Unlike others, he refuses to accept coincidences.

The more he digs, the more similarities he finds between the new posts and the messages that targeted Daniel.

Before long, Adam becomes convinced that the same person is responsible.

Unfortunately, proving it is another matter entirely.

As Adam quietly gathers evidence, Jodie becomes aware that someone may be onto her.

Instead of panicking, she responds in the only way she knows how.

She strikes first.

In an explosive development, rumors suddenly begin circulating about Adam himself.

Questions are raised about his motives.

People start wondering whether he is pursuing a personal vendetta against Jodie.

The accusations place Adam on the defensive and threaten to undermine everything he has worked for.

Back at the Platts, David finally reaches breaking point.

After another unsettling interaction with Jodie, he realizes he can no longer remain silent.

In a dramatic confrontation, he tells Shona exactly what happened on the night of the wedding and explains how Jodie has been manipulating him ever since.

Initially, Shona refuses to believe it.

The revelation triggers a fierce argument between husband and wife.

David feels betrayed.

Shona feels caught in the middle.

And Jodie appears delighted by the conflict she has created.

Yet cracks are beginning to appear in her carefully constructed façade.

For the first time, several residents start comparing notes.

Stories that once seemed unrelated suddenly fit together.

Patterns emerge.

Contradictions become impossible to ignore.

The realization spreads that perhaps Daniel was telling the truth all along.

As suspicion grows, Jodie finds herself increasingly isolated.

But if history has taught Weatherfield anything, it is that cornering someone like Jodie can be incredibly dangerous.

With her lies unraveling and her influence slipping away, she may be preparing her most desperate move yet.

And if the next chapter is anything like the last, the consequences could be devastating for everyone involved.

Daniel is fighting to rebuild his relationship with Bertie.

David is desperately trying to save his marriage.

Adam is determined to expose the truth.

But Jodie still has secrets hidden beneath the surface.

Secrets that could destroy reputations, tear families apart, and send shockwaves through Coronation Street.

The question is no longer whether Jodie will be stopped.

The real question is how much damage she will cause before someone finally brings her down.

And judging by recent events, Weatherfield’s nightmare may only be getting started.
