HOTTES NEWS TODAY!!! EastEnders fans divided over controversial sibling love triangle

A new love triangle storyline has started airing in EastEnders, and it’s got quite a lot of fans talking.

It involves Oscar Branning (Pierre Counihan-Moullier) and two newcomers to Walford – who also happen to be siblings.

Oscar’s romance with Jasmine Fisher (Indeyarna Donaldson-Holness) came to an end as a result of her meddling. While she was in prison for Anthony Trueman’s (Nicholas Bailey) murder, Oscar turned his attention to a young man called Josh Goodwin (Joshua Vaughan).

They had great chemistry, but Oscar had no idea that Josh is actually Jasmine’s brother. When he found out, he told Josh that things between them couldn’t continue, and then proceeded to try and reconnect with Jasmine.

Jasmine is now out of prison and living in Albert Square with Oscar and Josh. This week, they hung out at the park, and Oscar grew unsettled as he realised he was attracted to both siblings.

These scenes have sparked quite a big reaction on social media, as audience members of the BBC One soap appear to be quite torn over this new love triangle storyline.

Over on X, a number of fans believe things would’ve been better if EastEnders explored the dynamic between Josh and Jasmine, rather than focus on how Oscar feels about them both.

‘The love triangle thing really is destroying Oscar, Jasmine and Josh. It would be nice to see the twins dynamic without Oscar and it’s making Oscar boring’, Debbie said.

‘The Oscar/Jasmine/Josh love triangle is so cringe’, Kelly admitted.

Expressing their thoughts, Daisy wrote: ‘I’m sorry but I just don’t see the chemistry with Josh and Oscar at all, it just comes across very forced’.

This user added: ‘Josh trying to flirt with Oscar right in front of Jasmine. Have some shame!’.

Meanwhile, some fans are very much Team Oscar and Josh. While they’re enjoying Oscar battling his feelings, they also hope it won’t be long until he ends things with Jasmine so he can start a relationship with Josh.

Simon wrote: It’s obvious that Oscar and Josh really like each other. It’s as if there’s some passion deep down inside! If it wasn’t for Jasmine things could be so different’.

Ryan added: ‘I hope he knows what he’s doing in hurting Jasmine like this because she’ll be out for revenge when this secret comes out’.

Tom noted: ‘EastEnders giving us a slow burner to Oscar and JOsh – whyyyy, they are both so iconic they need to be a couple already’.

Josh made his arrival to Walford in March of this year. He was in town with adoptive mum Sandra (Dawn Steele), ahead of Jasmine’s trial following Anthony’s death.

Shortly after Zoe Slater (Michelle Ryan) returned to Albert Square in 2025, she began her search for son Josh.
