EXTRA TIME What time are Emmerdale and Coronation Street on tonight? World Cup schedule sees extended episodes on
GOOD news for soap fans as both Emmerdale and Coronation Street are back on the box tonight â and there is more to enjoy than usual.
The ITV stalwarts are airing hour-long specials to make up for the soaps being bumped from the schedule due to World Cup coverage.

Coronation Street and Emmerdale return to ITV1 tonight in extended one-hour instalments, rather than their usual 30-minute power hour slots.
Emmerdale kicks things off at 8pm, followed by Coronation Street at 9pm.
If you canât wait until the evening, both episodes are also available to stream on ITVX from 7am.
The hour-long broadcasts are ITVâs way of making up for cancelled episodes during a summer of soap schedule shake-ups.

It is the latest in a long run of disruptions caused by the broadcasterâs sport coverage.
A source said: âItâs proving quite the headache behind the scenes.
âSoap fans have already had to get used to the new slots, which came in at the beginning of the year, so with more changes coming thereâs a real fear they could lose more viewers.
âAiring the episodes on a Sunday just does not work and now with the new schedule itâs very unlikely theyâll be able to run before these big World Cup matches start.
âThere are lots of discussions behind the scenes about what they can do.â
When are Emmerdale and Coronation Street on this week?
Unfortunately it is a stop-start week for soap fans due to a packed run of World Cup football.
On Tuesday, June 16, Emmerdale is on again at 8pm followed by Coronation Street at 9pm, both 60 minute instalments on ITV1.
There will be no soaps at all on Wednesday, June 17, with ITV showing Englandâs World Cup Group L opener against Croatia from 9pm.
Thursday, June 18 is another blank night for soap fans, with the channel airing Switzerland vs Bosnia-Herzegovina at 8pm.
But normal service resumes on Friday, June 19, with Emmerdale back in its regular 30-minute slot at 8pm and Coronation Street following at 8.30pm.
