Coronation Street’s worrying Megan scene hints at fresh turmoil for Will

Coronation Street kicked off a new episode with a conflicting incident for Will Driscoll, who caught sight of a video of some lads bullying Megan Walsh.

Will has been struggling in the aftermath of Megan being arrested for grooming him and being released on bail and is now at odds with his dad Ben, who’s worried that his son’s ordeal with his coach would ruin his dating life.

In new scenes, Will confronted Ben after he overheard him and Eva Price talking about him and Megan.

Wanting to clear his head, Will headed to the café, where he bumped into Sam Blakeman. Unaware that Sam had been having hallucinations centred on him, Will was taken aback when his pal got furious at the sight of him.

Sam told him that he’d been ruining his life and was “evil”, prompting a confused Will to apologise.

An upset Will hurried out, turning to a bottle of vodka and climbing up a scaffolding. When Asha Alahan spotted him and pleaded with him to get down, the teen said he was “proper messed up” and didn’t know if he’d feel “normal” again.

As Asha gave sound advice to Will, promising that it would get better for him, she texted Maggie while Hope Dobbs went to alert Ben.

The publican found Will still up the scaffolding, now talking to Maggie, who shared the vodka with him.

“I hate what Megan did to me, but I can’t get her out of my head,” Will told his grandmother, who urged him not to give his predatory coach any more power.

With Maggie’s help, Will finally got down and made up with his family, but an unexpected encounter risked upending everything again.

In the final scenes, Megan, who had been spying on Will, approached the teen.

“I missed you,” the abuser told the teen, who insisted she left him alone as Hope watched on from afar.

“I thought we were in love,” Megan said in yet another attempt to manipulate him but a resolute Will pushed her away and left.

Will this new run-in with Megan have an impact on Will?

After Megan’s shocking return, life in Weatherfield only became more complicated for Will Driscoll. Though he tried to act strong in front of his family, the emotional scars left by his abusive relationship with the former coach were far from healed. Every corner of the Street seemed to remind him of the manipulation, the lies, and the humiliation he’d endured. Even worse, whispers about the scandal had started spreading among local teens, making Will feel more isolated than ever before.

The next morning, Ben noticed that his son barely touched his breakfast before storming out of the house. Concerned, Ben tried calling after him, but Will ignored him completely. Maggie later warned Ben that pushing too hard could drive Will further away. Still, Ben couldn’t shake the fear that Megan’s sudden appearance had reopened wounds that had barely started healing.

Meanwhile, at the precinct, Hope Dobbs couldn’t stop thinking about what she had witnessed the previous evening. She secretly recorded part of Megan confronting Will and debated whether she should show the footage to someone. Though Hope often enjoyed drama, even she could see how frightened Will had looked when Megan approached him. After wrestling with her conscience, Hope eventually confided in Sam Blakeman, who immediately realised the situation was more serious than anyone thought.

Sam, still battling his own emotional struggles, felt guilty for lashing out at Will earlier. Determined to make things right, he found Will sitting alone near the community centre later that day. At first, Will refused to speak to him, insisting he wanted to be left alone. But Sam apologised sincerely, admitting that his hallucinations had clouded his judgment. Slowly, Will softened and admitted he’d been feeling like everyone in Weatherfield saw him differently now.

Their conversation was interrupted when a group of older lads walked past and started mocking Will about Megan. One of them cruelly joked that Will “must’ve enjoyed the attention,” leaving the teen visibly shaken. Sam immediately defended his friend, but the encounter left Will furious and embarrassed. He later exploded at Ben for not protecting him from the gossip spreading around town.

Back at the Rovers, Jenny Connor overheard locals discussing Will’s ordeal and quickly shut down the cruel conversation. Carla Connor also stepped in, warning the pub regulars that victim-blaming a teenager was disgusting. While some residents sympathised with Will, others remained judgmental, making it impossible for him to escape the scandal.

That evening, Asha Alahan checked in on Will again after becoming increasingly worried about his mental state. She encouraged him to attend a support session for young victims, but Will immediately rejected the idea. He insisted he didn’t belong there because people would think he was weak. Asha gently reminded him that surviving abuse didn’t make him weak — hiding his pain did.

Elsewhere, Megan continued lurking around Weatherfield despite her bail conditions. In a chilling scene, she watched Will from across the street while speaking on the phone to an unknown person. Megan insisted that Will still loved her and claimed his family had “turned him against her.” The disturbing conversation hinted that Megan had no intention of letting go.

Later in the week, Will attempted to return to normal life by going back to football training. However, things quickly went wrong when another player made a sarcastic remark about Megan during practice. Humiliated in front of everyone, Will lashed out violently, shoving the player to the ground before storming off the pitch. His coach warned that unless he controlled his temper, he’d be suspended from the team entirely.

Feeling like his entire world was collapsing, Will disappeared for several hours, leaving Ben and Maggie frantic with worry. Eventually, Hope revealed that she’d seen him heading toward the canal. Fearing the worst, Ben raced through Weatherfield searching desperately for his son.

At the canal, Will sat alone listening to old voice messages from Megan. Though he knew she had manipulated him, part of him still clung to the comforting things she once said. Tears streamed down his face as he admitted he didn’t know how to separate the abuse from the affection he believed they once shared.

Ben finally found Will and pleaded with him to come home. In an emotional confrontation, Ben confessed that he blamed himself for missing the warning signs about Megan. He admitted he’d been so focused on protecting Will’s future that he failed to understand the trauma his son was experiencing in the present.

Will broke down, confessing that he felt ashamed all the time. He worried people thought he was stupid for falling for Megan’s manipulation. Ben reassured him that the blame rested entirely with Megan and reminded him that predators were experts at exploiting vulnerable people.

For the first time in weeks, Will opened up honestly about how trapped he’d felt during the relationship. He admitted Megan made him believe nobody else truly cared about him. Ben promised his son that no matter what happened, he would never face things alone again.

However, just as the emotional father-son reunion seemed to mark a turning point, another bombshell arrived. At the police station, authorities revealed that Megan had violated her bail conditions and disappeared. Nobody knew where she had gone — or who she might try contacting next.

The news sent shockwaves through Weatherfield. Maggie feared Megan would attempt to manipulate Will again, while Ben became increasingly protective of his son. Asha urged Will to stay surrounded by family and friends, but Will privately admitted he was terrified Megan might show up anywhere at any moment.

Then came the biggest twist of all. In the episode’s final moments, Will received a message from an unknown number. Though the sender’s identity wasn’t shown immediately, the text read: “You can pretend to hate me all you want, but we both know what we had was real.”

Will’s face dropped in horror as he realised Megan had found another way into his life.

The camera then cut to Megan sitting alone in a dark flat, secretly watching photos of Will on her phone. Smirking to herself, she whispered chillingly: “He’ll come back to me eventually.”

With Megan refusing to let go and Will struggling to rebuild his life, the drama surrounding the troubled teenager looks set to intensify even further in upcoming episodes of Coronation Street.
