Coronation Street’s Todd Grimshaw to slip up in Theo murder cover-up

Coronation Street‘s Todd Grimshaw arouses suspicion next week as Lisa Connor-Swain steps up the investigation into Theo Silverton’s murder.

When Lisa diligently keeps Todd up to date regarding the police’s efforts, she doesn’t get the reaction that she was expecting from him.

Upcoming episodes see Lisa’s responsibilities increase when her colleague Kit Green is taken off the Theo case.

The pressure is on for Lisa to get results, but with a pact of silence surrounding Theo’s fate, it’s difficult for her to make much progress.

“Lisa pays a visit to No.11 to see Todd, but is brutally honest with him about how the mystery is baffling the police team,” explains our Corrie source.

“The detectives have reached a stalemate in the investigation, with Maria’s false alibi for Gary preventing the police from pursuing him more aggressively even though he’s their prime suspect.”

Todd shows little interest in Lisa’s updates, unable to give away that he already knows who killed Theo.

It’s a relief for Todd to know that his best friend Sarah Platt isn’t in any trouble, but he seems to be giving the game away with his reaction…

“Lisa is suspicious that Todd is so calm over the lack of progress,” adds our insider. “At one point, he was desperate to clear his own name – and was keen to find out who’d robbed him of the chance to see Theo sent down for violently abusing him.

“It’s clear that something has changed with Todd seemingly no longer interested, but will Lisa figure out what it is?”

Last week, Sarah confessed to Theo’s murder in a private conversation with Todd.

Although Todd promised to keep Sarah’s secret, he was appalled by the way she’d taken matters into her own hands. Sarah was crushed as Todd explained that he couldn’t be part of her life anymore.
