BREAKING NEWS!!! EastEnders reveals first look at iconic character in drag ahead of special Pride episode
Walford is gearing up to celebrate Pride with a special episode ahead of the parade taking over the streets of London this weekend, as an iconic character dresses up in drag to mark the occasion.
The Square continues the tradition of honouring the LGBTQ+ community, with a Pride-themed episode airing tomorrow (2 July). As two venues fight for the title of Walford’s best Pride event, one character makes the unexpected move to celebrate one of the soap’s fan-favourite women.
The rivalry between The Vic and The Albert is at an all-time high as the Slaters and Cindy Beale go head to head to host the best Pride party. As Cindy seems to be in the lead, Alfie and Kat hatch a plan to hijack their rival’s booking and lure a guest star, RuPaul’s Drag Race queen La Voix, to The Vic instead.

But when La Voix starts to question the Slaters’ story, an unexpected appearance from Alfie in drag could be their one chance of convincing the queen to perform at The Vic. He takes inspiration from his wife and dons her classic bold look. But will it be enough to get her to stay?
The soap has released a first-look image of Alfie rocking a jet-black wig, big golden hoops, a leopard-print dress plus a bustier and fishnets.
Previously teasing the Walford Pride war, La Voix promised “uproar, drama, chaos” as she gushed about guest starring on the BBC soap being “an absolute joy”.
“I’m booked for Walford Pride and was meant to be performing at The Prince Albert. But as I get out of my car, I’m poached by The Queen Vic, and they tell me the venue has changed. It hasn’t, but they pretend it has… uproar, drama, chaos,” the star explained.
On her cameo in the “iconic” soap, La Voix said it was “an absolute joy” and was like “putting two great British institutions together – EastEnders and me”.
