BREAKING NEWS!!! 8 huge Emmerdale spoilers for tonight as Dr Todd returns

 

It’s a double visit to Emmerdale tonight, as the soap returns to screens with an hour-long edition following recent World Cup scheduling disruption.

The tense episode sees evil Dr Todd return as Mackenzie Boyd decides that it’s time to confront her, but will his drastic intervention make everything worse?

1. Mack struggles to carry on as normal

Mack tries to stand by Charity following last week’s revelations, but Charity confides in Serena about how she fears her marriage won’t survive everything that’s happened.

Sure enough, Mack’s resolve is tested when Ross pays a visit to the family home. With Ross oblivious to any change in dynamics, Mack secretly seethes over his friend’s betrayal.

2. Leyla’s christening day piles the pressure on Mack

When the day of Leyla’s christening arrives, Mack struggles with his role in proceedings. He and Charity are godparents to the little girl, but Mack fears that he’d be deceiving Sarah and Jacob by being part of the ceremony.

The godparents have to make a public commitment during the service – how will Mack deal with the pressure?

3. Dr Todd reappears

Dr Todd makes her first appearance since leaving the village a few weeks ago.

The malicious medic is now working in Sheffield, but Mack tracks her down for a showdown after Kev advises him that revenge is the best policy. Will Mack regret this risky intervention, especially if it affects Charity’s case against Todd?

4. Claudette gives Kev some tough advice

As Lewis gives Ross the cold shoulder following recent events, Kev enjoys a joyous reunion with two of his only allies – Claudette and Charles.

When Kev explains that Lewis is his long-lost son, who sadly wants nothing to do with him, Claudette doesn’t hold back as she warns her friend that he’s giving up hope far too easily.

But with Lewis determined that Kev should leave the village sooner rather than later, who will the ex-con listen to?

5. Kerry issues more demands

Kerry makes the most of the leverage she now holds over Caleb, urging him to sign over 10% of the depot to Jai.

Caleb isn’t willing to go that far, but promises Kerry that she and Jai can both have pay rises. Is Kerry playing with fire by resorting to blackmail?

6. Serena sparks early suspicion

Charity is confused when she realises that Serena already knew about John’s reign of terror but didn’t mention it.

Sarah gives Serena a chance by offering her a place to stay, but the newcomer continues to act strangely when she asks Claudette some tactless questions about John’s behaviour.

7. Robert returns

Robert returns from holiday and is surprised to come face-to-face with Serena for the first time in years.

There’s also the awkwardness of a reunion with Kev, but Robert is relieved when his estranged husband draws a line under the past by suggesting a divorce.

8. Joe spots a sign of trouble

Joe is confused when he sees that Kyle is wearing one of Graham’s expensive watches.

This is a clue to Graham’s divided loyalties between the Tates and the Dingles, but will Joe realise the significance of it?
