Coronation Street reveals huge Tyrone shock as he meets his dad
Coronation Street‘s Tyrone Dobbs comes face-to-face with his estranged father Ross next week after Hope and Ruby track him down using DNA.
During a family meal at the Bistro, Hope and Ruby confess to Tyrone that they have uncovered the identity of his long-lost dad by secretly sending off a sample of his DNA. But when Ty’s old man turns up at the restaurant, what happens next?

“This is life-changing for Tyrone,” shares our Weatherfield source. “It was only three years ago that he met his mum Cassie, now he’s seeing his real dad in the flesh for the first time.
“It will take him a while to get his head around it all, and it won’t be easy for Cassie either.”

The week begins with Fiz suspecting that Hope and Ruby are up to no good, before Cassie Plummer spots the two girls reading an email on Hope’s phone. Curious, Cassie grills her granddaughters, but they keep quiet, only stating that they’re planning a surprise for Tyrone.
Later in the week, Tyrone and Fiz treat themselves to a bottle of prosecco at the Rovers – however, their date is rudely interrupted when Cassie, Steve McDonald and Tracy McDonald join them without asking.
“Around the table, Cassie tells Steve that she’s done with Tracy trying to tear them apart,” continues our spy. “Tyrone pipes up and says to his mum that if she truly loves Steve, then she’s going to have get on with it, but will Cassie listen?”

Subsequently, Cassie decides that a bold gesture is the way to claim Steve once and for all – so she drops to one knee in the cab office! Will Steve agree to make Cassie the sixth Mrs McDonald?
Following the proposal, Cassie feels let down, and even more so when she spots Steve helping Tracy with a flower order. Heartbroken, Cassie resorts to downing booze at the Chariot Square, where she flirts with a fella at the bar.
“Cassie doesn’t know that Steve is looking all over for her,” warns our insider. “She makes a desperate pass at a fellow punter, but as the pictures show, it’s Tyrone’s dad that she’s talking to! She doesn’t realise that at the time, but will the penny drop?”

After sobering up, a guilt-ridden Cassie makes her way back to No 1. There, Hope invites Cassie to an upcoming family meal, before Steve reassures his girlfriend that he wants to put the last few days behind them.
At the Bistro, Hope and Ruby unveil their surprise for Tyrone, prompting his biological dad, Ross, to show his face.
Towards the end of the week, Cassie informs Ross that Tyrone isn’t going to budge when it comes to meeting him, but Ross is clearly unfazed, telling Cassie to try harder to make it work…

Later, Tyrone and Cassie turn up at Speed Daal for a takeaway, but they’re baffled to see Steve, Tracy and Ross sharing a meal. The mother and son end up joining the trio, which results in Tyrone softening towards his dad – and even he organises for them to meet up.
Will Tyrone build a bond with Ross? And if so, where does that leave Cassie?
