6 Coronation Street spoilers for tonight as Megan’s verdict is revealed

In Friday’s Coronation Street, Megan Walsh’s fate is finally revealed as the jury delivers a verdict in her grooming trial.

Meanwhile, Leanne has a big decision to make after clashing with Idris, and Abi frets about the dangerous state of her flat.

1. The Driscolls are on tenterhooks

Eva and Ben try to keep themselves busy as they await the verdict in Megan’s trial. Will is also anxious as he confides in Ollie about Megan threatening him.

2. Megan’s fate is revealed

As everyone gathers back in court, the jury foreman confirms that Megan has been found guilty on both charges. She’s sentenced to five years behind bars and will be required to serve at least two-thirds of this duration.

But as a furious Megan threatens to appeal and refuses to go down without a fight, can Will ever move on from his ordeal?

3. Alya defends Idris

Despite originally warning Leanne not to bother with Idris, indecisive Alya changes her tune by defending him to her Speed Daal colleague.

As Leanne is still fuming with Idris for messing with her phone so they wouldn’t be disturbed at the hotel, Alya reckons her cousin deserves another chance. Could the arrival of expensive flowers from Idris help to tip the scales?

4. Leanne opens up about her tragic past

Leanne comes face-to-face with Idris and explains why she was so annoyed about him blocking her access to Sam when he needed her.

Reflecting on the past, Leanne explains how important Sam is to her – especially with Simon away on new adventures, and the tragic loss of her son Oliver in 2020. Can Leanne and Idris sort things out?

5. Nick is defended by Leanne

Sam struggles to forgive Nick for lying to him about how Megan’s trial was going.

But when Leanne pays a visit and admits that she would have done exactly the same thing to protect Sam’s wellbeing, the teen is left to reconsider his stance.

6. There’s danger for Alfie

Damp is becoming a real problem at Abi’s flat and she rants about her landlord ghosting her. Abi doesn’t even know who the guy is, until she tries calling him and hears Idris’s phone ringing nearby!
