Tonight the BBC soap celebrates Pride, which sees pub The Queen Victoria and rival bar The Prince Albert go head-to-head to come out on top.

In this first-look, the Slaters hatch a plan to lure Strictly Come Dancing star La Voix to make a guest appearance at The Vic instead of at Cindy Beale’s LGBTQ+ drinking hole.

However, when La Voix arrives Zoe (Michelle Ryan) and Mo (Laila Morse) trick her into performing at The Vic instead.

They use Alfie, dressed as his Walford icon wife, played by Jessie Wallace, to convince her it’s all legitimate.

Wearing a jet black wig and a full face of make-up, he gets on the mic to the shock of the punters.

La Voix said it was an “absolute joy” to be involved in the scenes.

“Walking around Albert Square for the first time was a real pinch-me moment!” she said.

“Filming such a special Pride episode made the experience even more meaningful.

“To celebrate love, community and being proud of who you are on a show that has always been at the heart of British culture is something I’ll never forget.

“Everyone was so welcoming, and I can’t wait for viewers to see what’s in store.”

She says many of the scenes were improvised as the stars were encouraged to go off-script and interact with the punters.

“Improvisation gives you the freedom to rally play in the moment and react naturally to what the other actors are doing,” said La Voix.

“Of course, it can be a little nerve-wracking because you don’t have a script to fall back on, some of my favourite moments came from those spontaneous exchanges that you simply couldn’t have planned!”
