Coronation Street to reveal Megan Walsh’s trial verdict in big episode
Coronation Street‘s twisted Megan Walsh faces her final day in court later this week, where the jury will announce their verdict in her case.
Having used every trick in the book to manipulate Will Driscoll into doing her bidding, all Megan can do now is wait to discover whether her devious strategy will pay off.

She’s determined to avoid prison and win her freedom, without a care for the teenagers whose lives she’s ruined. In this Friday’s (3 July) episode, the outcome is confirmed – will she get away with her sick crimes?
“It would be a travesty if Megan walked free, so everyone is praying that the jury has seen through her lies,” reveals our Street spy. “She might act the innocent victim, yet the things Megan has done are the very definition of evil. The judge should be ready to throw the book at her, but it all depends on whether the jury declares her guilty.”
The trial has taken a huge toll on Will and the rest of the Driscoll family. Eva Price tries to support Ben as he takes the call to say that the court is reconvening so the verdict can be delivered.
However, regardless of what happens to Megan, Ben is in no doubt that his son will be living with the consequences of her actions for a long time to come. And it’s not only Will, but also Sam Blakeman and Daniel Osbourne who are both deeply affected by what’s happened.
“For Will, it’s about trying to process what’s happened and come to terms with the grooming, all while being a hot topic of gossip at school,” explains our insider. “Whereas Sam is trying to manage his anxiety over Megan alongside treatment for schizophrenia, which is a tough ask for anyone, let alone a teenager.

“They are just two young lives blighted by Megan’s lies and wickedness. When the trial is over, Megan’s could be gone, but the impact of what she done won’t be.”
However, in the wake of the trial, there is one piece of positive news when Daniel and Will manage to put their differences behind them. Having gone through separate ordeals, both of them realise they were taken in and damaged by this despicable paedophile.

The first step in recovering is to acknowledge what happened and that neither of them were to blame. This reset can only mean good things as they look at an uncertain future, but will Megan be living the next few years of her life behind bars – or will she walk free?
