5 Emmerdale spoilers for tonight reveal who helps save Charity Dingle

In tonight’s episode of Emmerdale, Charity worries her loved ones by disappearing from the village – but she comes to a big decision after advice from a surprise stranger at the lake.

Meanwhile, Ross takes drastic action in his plan to bring Lewis home, while Caleb grows suspicious of Archie.

1. Charity reaches breaking point

Struggling Charity drives to a lake and stands alone at the edge. She ignores a call from Mack and stares into the distance, not knowing how to deal with the trauma that she hasn’t disclosed to anyone but the police.

Meanwhile, Charity’s loved ones are worried about her after her unexpected disappearance and regroup after their search brings about no answers. Mack in particular is really concerned and decides to phone the police.

2. Serena arrives

Charity hears a rustling near the lake and comes face to face with a stranger – new character Serena. She notices that Charity is in huge distress so tries to reach out to her, but Charity is disturbed and lashes out when Serena puts a hand on her arm.

While Charity apologises for her actions, Serena wonders whether this intense reaction was to being touched without permission. Serena manages to build up trust, and Charity feels comfortable to open up to her about everything – including her baby scandal and the sexual assault at the hands of Dr Todd.

3. Charity comes clean

With Serena’s words having had a big effect on Charity, she returns home to the relief of her terrified family. But she asks for everyone to leave and to speak to Mack alone, after this eventful day. Is this the moment Charity tells her husband the truth, and what will she disclose?

4. Kev is knocked out

Ross and Liam are worried as they wait for Kev to return from the pawn shop, even though this is a lie, but Kev arrives and claims the diamond ‘Penny’ was sold. Kylie video calls Kev and demands the diamond be returned by the end of the day, or Lewis will be seriously hurt or worse.

Kev later returns with the diamond, which he had all along, with an address to take it too. But Ross is still suspicious so knocks Kev out, intending to use him as an insurance policy. Will Ross and Liam manage to get Lewis back?

5. Caleb makes a discovery

Archie uses AI to manipulate Jimmy’s voice and post an embarrassing video online – and this piques Caleb’s interest. Suspecting that Archie could be behind the AI scam involving his daughter Steph, Caleb offers the teen some work at the depot.

He uses the opportunity to snoop on Archie’s laptop and discovers a secret folder. Has Caleb uncovered Archie’s actions?
