Coronation Street confirms troubling turn for Idris and Leanne

Coronation Street fans see Leanne Battersby’s sexy new romance with Idris Nazir hit its first major stumbling block next week, when his shocking actions reveal a darker side to the smooth-talking businessman.

Idris thrills his new love when he whisks Leanne off for a romantic night at the Chariot Square hotel.

During breakfast in bed, Idris suggests extending their booking for another night. Smitten Leanne can’t believe her luck as she heads to the bathroom to freshen up. But while she’s out of the room, Idris notices a call coming in from Leanne’s sister Toyah – so he turns the ringer off and deliberately fails to tell her…

“This is a massive red flag – it’s giving controlling and manipulative vibes,” warns our Corrie spy.

“He might be handsome, but this is not a good look for Idris. What right does he have to mess with Leanne’s mobile and basically screen her calls? It’s outrageous behaviour and really concerning because, if nothing else, it proves that Idris is totally selfish.”

Leanne’s saucy escape is a welcome distraction from her stepson Sam Blakeman’s heartbreaking ordeal. She’s been desperately worried about the schoolboy and has done everything she can to support him, something Idris is well aware of.

It’s nice to have a getaway, but Leanne has her phone to hand in case Sam needs her. However, thanks to Idris’s actions, Toyah’s calls go unanswered and the angry Battersby sister arrives at the hotel in a furious temper.

“Toyah is livid because Leanne didn’t show up to visit Sam, who is so vulnerable right now,” explains our insider. “As far as Toyah knows, Leanne’s frolicking around with Idris without a care in the world while Sam is left feeling alone and rejected.

“It’s been a while since things have massively kicked off between the sisters, but Toyah is ready to give Leanne a proper dressing down.”

While inside the room and caught up in her romance bubble, Leanne is stunned when she hears Toyah shouting from the other side. Meanwhile, in righteous fury, Toyah is ready to remind Leanne that they should all be putting Sam first right now.

However, given Idris’s decision to silence her phone, Leanne is set to be very confused by Toyah’s accusations. How will she feel if she discovers that Idris has behaved like this so early on in their relationship? Is it enough to provoke Leanne to walk away?
