Emmerdale – here’s who just kidnapped Lewis Barton after cliffhanger

If you’ve just watched Emmerdale, you might be wondering who just kidnapped Lewis Barton following that shocking cliffhanger.

In tonight’s episode, Vinny surprised Lewis by telling him he had booked a last-minute holiday to Madeira for them on a flight departing that day.

Struggling with the spontaneity, Lewis became overwhelmed and told Vinny he wasn’t going and that he should go by himself, saying: “Go. Have fun.”

He later changed his mind after speaking to his brother Ross, who told Lewis to check whether he felt “comfortable and safe” with Vinny abroad as he does at home.

“Worst comes to the worst,” Ross added. “You just cancel all your daytrips and adventures, and you find a little spot, and you just chill. Just the two of you as you do here.”

After deciding to go on the holiday, Lewis was seen waiting for a taxi when a van pulled up, and two masked villains kidnapped him.

Looking ahead to next week’s scenes, we know that Lewis was kidnapped by a woman called Kylie, whom viewers haven’t met yet.

Lewis is left fearing for his life after being held to ransom by the crazed kidnapper who sends a sinister text to Ross.

In another twist of events, Dr Liam Cavanagh finally reveals the truth that Kev is Lewis’s biological father. Ross vows to find Kev, hoping that the former jailbird will help him get Lewis back.

“Lewis’s kidnapper is a woman called Kylie, who tells Ross that Kev needs to return ‘Penny’ to her – or else,” explained our Emmerdale spy.

“Liam can see how serious Kylie is about ‘Penny’, so he convinces Claudette to tell him where Kev is. The village doc and Ross soon find Kev selling cakes out of a van, but his attitude is nowhere near as sweet as the lemon drizzle he’s serving up…”

When Ross and Liam track down Kev, he tells them that ‘Penny’ is a diamond he sold to a pawn shop, though it is later revealed he has the diamond and is wearing it.

With Lewis terrified and trapped in Kylie’s bedroom, Ross receives a threatening message from Kylie involving scalpels, so he contacts Kev, telling him to hand over ‘Penny’ by the end of the day

“Kylie isn’t messing about,” continued our source. “While dishing out the ultimatum to Kev, she also makes sure to mention that she spent eight years in Holloway Prison. That surely doesn’t bode well for Lewis!”

After Kev hands over the diamond to Ross, Ross knocks him out, knowing he could free Lewis the whole time.

Ross meets up with Kylie to secure Lewis’ freedom, but will Kev wreck his chances?
