That is why the call matters more than a normal rescue beat. Britt and Rocco did not leave Port Charles cleanly. The May 22 cliffhanger sent them out with fake passports, crushed phones, Sonny holding a dangerous piece of Sidwell intel, and Dante realizing his son had slipped out of reach. It was never just an escape. It was a countdown with too many people chasing the same truth.
Jason is the reason that truth still has weight. Rocco’s guilt over the pier incident has been sitting under every scene since Jason stepped into the fallout to shield him.
