ENDERS GIG Huge Strictly star to make cameo on EastEnders in ‘dream come true’ role – and it’s set to air soon
The performer, real name Christopher Dennis, will help the BBC One soap mark Pride month when she gigs in the Queen Vic pub.

Her cameo, which will form part of Walford’s LGBTQ+ celebrations, is set to air soon.
It is a dream come true for former RuPaul’s Drag Race star La Voix.
She is a good friend of EastEnders star Harriet Thorpe, who has played Elaine Peacock, former landlady of the Albert Square pub, since 2023.
But La Voix’s booking for the soap gig was never really in doubt as she has become a firm fixture in the BBC talent pool.

A source said: “Since starring on Strictly last year, La Voix has absolutely been the Beeb’s top pick, helping them host events and even announcing the UK’s scores for Eurovision.
“So when there was discussion about a drag queen performing at Walford Pride, there was only ever one option.
“La Voix was absolutely thrilled to be asked and bosses hope viewers enjoy the fun Pride special.”
EastEnders celebrated its first Pride in 2019, with the Square hosting a parade.

The episode put the spotlight on the show’s LGBTQ+ characters, with Bernadette Taylor (Clair Norris) embracing her sexuality to march in the parade.
But there was drama for Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden), who was violently attacked by Stuart Highway (Ricky Champ) after the lad learned that his brother Callum (Tony Clay) had kissed Ben.
The episode was praised for its celebratory tone as well as the exploration of issues of prejudice.
Walford’s latest diversity festival is expected to air in early July, when London celebrates Pride.
LIFE JUST GOT BABS FAB AGAIN

IT was a huge hit earlier this year – so no suprise that rags-to-riches drama A Woman Of Substance is to return for a second series.
The new run will begin filming in November and air next year, says entertainment site TV Zone.
Like season one, it will be based on the same-titled 1979 novel by Barbara Taylor Bradford, about the dizzying rise of Emma Harte from a penniless Yorkshire maid in the early 1900s to one of the world’s richest women by the Seventies.
In series one, House Of Guinness star Jessica Reynolds played the younger Emma and Vera’s Brenda Blethyn her older, wealthy self.
This is the second time Channel 4 has adapted this tale for the small screen.
The original dramatisation, in 1985, had 13.8million viewers transfixed.
The recent remake averaged two million viewers when series one dropped in March.
THE Masked Singer host Joel Dommett and comedian Maisie Adams are joining forces for Channel 4’s new YouTube series.
Summer Unboxed, in partnership with Boots, sees them throw themselves into various adventures, from a festival to a wellness retreat. It drops on Friday.
VICAR IS MAN OF CHRISTIE

THE final series of cop-and-vicar whodunnit drama Grantchester will pay homage to the greatest crime writer of all – Agatha Christie.
The eleventh and final series of the ITV hit, starring Rishi Nair as crime-solving Rev Alphy Kottaram, and Robson Green as police officer Geordie Keating, will air next year.
The nod to Christie, I can reveal, will be a murder mystery on a train.
To add to the drama, Rev Alphy will find himself the prime suspect.
Other plotlines in the final season include a killing at a drive-in movie, and church corruption.
