Coronation Street’s Daniel sparks Bertie terror with latest outburst
Daniel Osbourne sparked fear on Coronation Street tonight, with Bertie being terrified following his father’s latest outburst. With the teacher feeling the stress after being harassed by some trolls, he begins to lash out.
Daniel has been in the thick of it following the various revelations about Megan Walsh, who he recently dated. After she was outed as a groomer, Daniel has been unfairly grilled over his knowledge of her crimes.

He’s found solace in Jodie Ramsey, though he’s blissfully unaware that she’s the figure behind the ‘Truthteller’ social media account, which has harassed Daniel in recent weeks. He took the information to the police, and hoped it could be resolved quickly.
Tonight’s instalment of the ITV soap began with Daniel scrolling through some of the vile abuse that he’s been receiving, with Bertie startling his anxious father as he asked if he was okay.

Daniel and Bertie headed out for a walk with Jodie, though Daniel was distracted by the online comments. Unaware that Jodie was the person behind some of the remarks, Daniel confided in her.
She tried to downplay the gravity of some of the messages in order to assuage her own guilt and urged him to not stay glued to his phone as much. Unbeknownst to the trio, it seemed like they were being watched as they roamed around Weatherfield.

They headed to Ken’s and planned a visit to the aquarium. But, as Daniel took a phone call outside, he was accosted by two balaclava-wearing teenagers who covered him in tomato ketchup.
Jodie caught up with Daniel following the incident and he admitted to fearing for his life as he initially thought it was acid they threw at him. He headed to Speed Daal for a catch-up with Adam, Idris and Alya, and Jodie joined him.
The meeting soon turned sour, however, as Idris giggled at a video of the earlier incident involving Daniel. He lost his temper, and furiously trashed the table before being kicked out by Leanne.

He returned home to Ken and Bertie with Jodie, but angrily launched his phone when seeing another message from a troll account. This scared Bertie, who ran back into his room in fear.
Daniel was chastised by Ken for his behaviour, but it seemed to be a moment of reckoning for him. With a nervous Jodie watching on, Daniel pledged to kill the people who were harassing him.
Daniel Osbourne’s terrifying outburst in the latest episode of Coronation Street left the residents of Weatherfield deeply concerned, and the fallout from his behaviour is only just beginning. After frightening Bertie with his violent reaction to another troll message, Daniel wakes up the following morning determined to convince everyone that he still has things under control. However, it quickly becomes clear that the pressure surrounding the Megan Walsh scandal and the relentless online abuse are pushing him dangerously close to breaking point.
Ken is the first to confront Daniel about his behaviour. Over breakfast, he warns his son that the anger and paranoia consuming him are starting to affect Bertie in serious ways. Although Daniel insists that he would never hurt anyone, Ken points out that his threats from the previous evening sounded frighteningly real. He urges Daniel to step away from social media before the situation escalates any further, but Daniel refuses to listen. Instead, he becomes defensive and accuses everyone around him of treating him like a criminal.
Meanwhile, Bertie continues to struggle with fear after witnessing his father lose control. Later in the day, Daniel accidentally slams a kitchen drawer while preparing lunch, causing Bertie to burst into tears and run upstairs. The heartbreaking moment leaves Daniel shaken, as he realises that his own son is now nervous around him. Although he tries to reassure Bertie that everything is okay, the little boy remains visibly anxious.
Elsewhere, Jodie Ramsey is secretly battling overwhelming guilt as she watches Daniel’s mental state deteriorate. Despite developing genuine feelings for him, she still hasn’t admitted that she is the person behind the anonymous “Truthteller” account that has been tormenting him for weeks. Every time Daniel confides in her about the abuse, Jodie looks increasingly uncomfortable, yet she continues to hide the truth.
Daniel’s paranoia worsens after the humiliating ketchup attack involving the masked teenagers. Convinced that people are watching and targeting him wherever he goes, he starts behaving erratically in public. While stopping at Roy’s Rolls for coffee, Daniel becomes convinced that another customer is secretly filming him on their phone. He angrily confronts the man in front of stunned customers, forcing Roy to intervene before the situation spirals out of control.
The incident quickly spreads around Weatherfield, adding to Daniel’s growing reputation for instability. Back at the school, several parents begin expressing concerns about whether Daniel should still be teaching following his increasingly aggressive behaviour. Rumours continue circulating online, with many suggesting that Daniel must have known more about Megan Walsh’s crimes than he originally claimed.
Already emotionally exhausted, Daniel becomes obsessed with proving his innocence and exposing whoever is behind the troll account. Adam attempts to support his friend by encouraging him to ignore the online abuse and focus on Bertie instead, but Daniel refuses to back down. He spends hours scrolling through hateful comments, convinced that solving the mystery is the only way to save his reputation.
Things become even worse when a video of Daniel smashing glasses and overturning tables at Speed Daal begins circulating online. The footage rapidly gains attention, with strangers mocking Daniel’s behaviour and branding him dangerous. When Daniel sees the comments underneath the video, he flies into another rage and throws his phone across the room.
At the same time, Jodie’s panic intensifies after learning that the police may be getting closer to identifying the person behind “Truthteller.” During a tense conversation with Kit, she overhears that investigators have traced several posts back to devices connected to Weatherfield. Terrified that the truth is about to come out, Jodie considers deleting all evidence and leaving town before she is exposed.
However, her feelings for Daniel continue to complicate matters. In a deeply emotional moment, Jodie watches Daniel comforting Bertie after another nightmare and begins questioning how far things have gone. She confesses to Alya that she never intended for the situation to become so destructive, but Alya warns her that the longer she keeps lying, the worse the consequences will be.
Later that evening, Daniel attempts to reconnect with Bertie by taking him to the Red Rec for football practice. At first, things seem to improve slightly, with Bertie smiling for the first time in days. But the peaceful moment is shattered when Daniel notices two teenagers whispering and laughing nearby. Convinced they are mocking him, he storms over aggressively and accuses them of filming him for social media.
The confrontation quickly escalates, and several parents are forced to step in. Although the teenagers insist they were doing nothing wrong, Daniel refuses to believe them. By the time he realises he may have overreacted, the damage has already been done. Bertie watches the entire scene unfold in horror before quietly walking away from his father.
Back at home, Ken delivers Daniel a devastating reality check. He warns him that unless he seeks professional help soon, he risks losing everything — including Bertie’s trust. Daniel finally begins to break down emotionally, admitting that he no longer knows who he can trust or how to stop the hatred surrounding him.
As the episode draws to a close, Daniel receives another anonymous message from the troll account. This time, the sender posts a photograph taken through his apartment window only moments earlier. The chilling image leaves Daniel frozen in fear as he realises someone may actually be stalking him.
The final scene cuts to Jodie standing alone in Victoria Garden, visibly distressed while staring at her phone. But in a dramatic twist, it becomes clear that she did not send the latest message. Moments later, another mysterious figure wearing a dark hoodie is shown watching Daniel’s apartment from across the street, suggesting that someone even more dangerous may now be involved.
With Daniel’s mental health rapidly deteriorating and a new threat emerging from the shadows, Weatherfield could be heading towards one of its darkest storylines yet.
